With the final whistle of the referee, the RoboCup Junior 2023 concluded successfully. After two years away from offline events due to the pandemic, this year RoboCup Junior attracted 800 contestants from all over the world.
The RoboCup robot competition is currently the highest-level, largest-scale, and most widely influential robotics event in the world, aimed at better promoting research in intelligent robotics and artificial intelligence.
Since its founding, Jupiter Robot has had the vision of being recognized worldwide as a Chinese brand. In this RoboCup Junior competition, Jupiter Robot extensibility and full open-source features were loved by the contestants.
Besides the competition, Jupiter Robot also went to the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Egypt to assist in offering AI courses. Students used Jupiter Robot to complete practices such as autonomous navigation, voice interaction, and robotic arm grasping.
Speech recognition is one of the core technologies of AI, by which the robot understands human language and synthesizes speech to respond. Pose recognition divides skeleton points into six parts and pulls them into a one-dimensional vector. SLAM mapping enables a robot to self-localize and navigate autonomously while building an incremental map in an unknown environment.
The Arab Academy for Science and Technology is now actively preparing for this year RoboCup@Home Education competition. We wish them excellent results!
