The RoboCup robot competition — the RoboCup (Robot World Cup) — is currently the highest-level, largest-scale, and most widely influential robotics event in the world, hosted by the RoboCup Federation. The competition covers essentially the world top-level robotics experts and many renowned robotics scholars, involving advanced technical fields such as electronic information, communication networks, equipment manufacturing, and artificial intelligence. Its main purpose is to promote the research and development of MAS (Multi-Agent System) and DAI (Distributed Artificial Intelligence) by providing a standard, easy-to-evaluate competition platform.
Recommended participation event: RoboCup@Home Education
Participation age: 12–19 years old is the Junior group; 19 years old and above joins the Open group.
RoboCup@Home Education is a robotics education program based on the RoboCup@Home league of the RoboCup. It assesses the capabilities and performance of robots in real, non-standardized home environments, focusing on human-robot interaction and cooperation, navigation and mapping in dynamic environments, computer vision and target recognition, object manipulation, adaptive behavior, ambient intelligence, standardization and system integration. It currently has four core activities:
- The RoboCup@Home Education challenge;
- Open-source educational robot platforms supporting RoboCup@Home and service robot development;
- Support for developing open courseware for AI and service robot education;
- Outreach programs such as domestic training, seminars, and international academic exchanges.
Jupiter Robot products, as the robot equipment used in the Open group of RoboCup@Home Education, have always been favored by a broad base of students.
